Counselling online & telephone.

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” ― Nelson Mandela

Online therapy

Research is showing that counselling via the telephone or online is as effective as face-to-face therapy, it is up to you as an individual to decide what is the best option for you.

So what is online therapy/counselling?

E-therapy (electronic therapy) has been on the fringes as a therapeutic approach for a long time now. Although a great option, it was not offered as much as face to face in counselling and psychotherapy, as it was deemed to be less personal and less relational. Yet, in this modern technological era, online therapy is now increasing popular and an effective method of therapeutic delivery.

So now with just a click of a button or the use of a mouse, you can access your therapy via most types of tech devices and from all sorts of platforms.
For some, this is a better option as it’s a pretty easy process! It really is up to you.

We have both undertaken specific training and qualifications in order to continue to give you the best possible service and the same therapeutic outcomes.

So why online or telephone?

The benefits of ‘online’ or ‘telephone’ is its convenience. It saves travel time. It is also good for people who are not in the local area or who may not be mobile. Equally, for clients who struggle with anxiety or fear, online is a valuable means of communication.

The added bonus is - it can be done in the comfort of your own home. You can sit in your own comfy chair, relaxed with no added pressure of travel.

We understand that sharing emotions, feelings and problems requires lots of courage and you needs a safe place to do so. We would suggest that you find a quiet private space in which to participate in your online sessions.

You also do not have to be seen, if you do not want to. Some of us actually find it easier talking on the telephone than face to face. There is no right or wrong way, it is what suits you!

The platform we use for online appointments is ‘Google Meet’. We will send you the invitation before your session and full details of how to log in and how to use it, don't worry it is very easy to use.

You will always have the choice to turn your camera on or off on Google Meet. And if there is a technical hitch we can always go straight to the telephone.
